Interestingly, the Democratic National Convention is looking more like a soap opera. I would have flat-out voted for Hillary but Obama has two more months to convince me he is capable or running this country. He is eloquent (as Hillary described him as someone who gave a 2002 speech and nothing more) and um, different (let's face it, he is not of the traditional status quo). IMO, Obama is riddled with questions - his associations (such as with former pastor Rev. Wright and domestic terrorist William Ayres) and lack of experience are suspect. Obama supporters spent at least half of their time defending him.
Hillary sounded more presidential this evening. She didn't really gave a ringing endorsement on Obama but she had to submit to a political decision of supporting her opponent - for the sake of the Democratic party, of course. I noticed the nervous smiles from Barrack's wife and his vice presidential nominee Biden as Hillary took the podium. There was an overwhelming support for her. I bet she's feeling more like a winner now despite losing the national bid for the presidency. It's funny how these Democrats feel so threatened by the Clintons. They practically destroyed them during the campaign despite the fact that Hillary may be the the only hope of removing the Republicans out of the White House.
McCain and the Republicans are truly grateful for her loss.
Anyway, I can't wait for Bill to take the stage tomorrow. Tomorrow night will definitely be interesting.
Say, Hillary for 2012! I'm all for that. I am predicting McCain will win it come November. The Obama fatigue is taking its toll - even within the party's wall.
---->> I love Hillary's "18 million cracks in glass ceiling" line. Hooray for women. Hooray for making a difference.
