Okay, I will admit it. On some things I am a proud Luddite.
I don't want my comics or other books electronically. Give me something I can hold in my hand, put on my bookshelf when I'm done, and doesn't need to be charged for me to read it. And with the ebooks causing the bookstores to go out of business, thus making it harder for me to actually GET my books, I could quite cheerfully throw all of the Nooks/Kindles/whatever into the sun.
And the whole Netflix thing. The internet connection in our house isn't good enough for streaming, plus the stuff we want isn't available for streaming. (Connection also cuts out things like Hulu. Bleh.) So when Netflix announced the change in their plans that went into effect September 1st, we just watched the one movie we had in queue and cancelled the streaming. Now they're talking about trying to phase out the DVD side of the business. Geez, guys, why didn't you say that in the first place? I would have cancelled the service altogether.
Redbox might be an option, if they had a better selection. Sorry, sometimes I want something other than the newest "popular" movies. I'm going to look at whatever Blockbuster has available, but our movie and tv watching may be about to take a serious hit.
