done dirt cheap? Har, I made a funny.
I just did my good deed for abused children. Yesterday I gave blood and did my good deed for children with cancer. I just dropped off two dozen stuffed animals to Day One in Providence. They are a sexual assault crisis center, and they do a lot of work with children. One of the things they do is bring stuffed animals to the kids in the emergency room when they are going through the barrage of tests associated with abuse (they also function with the lawyers and what not). They had a flood in the basement and lost the stock of bears they had on hand. So a few friends and a whole bunch of co-workers donated cash and I went out and cleared the shelves at Target (they have wonderful soft squishy bears and I just had to have them for the kids). The woman at the desk told me that they have been getting TONS of donations, but Im still glad that I talked this up and got friends and co-workers together to donate.
It breaks my hear that things like that happen, and Im glad that there's a resource for kids. Im actually considering volunteering there. Seriously considering.
