NU in LA Day!
Today was filled with all my new NU friends! My apartment spent the day at the pool, where we were soon joined by Max and Robert Boesel, who brought guacamole. We ran into Ben Friedmann, who was avoiding sunshine, and voila! Instant NU pool party! However, it turned into all the girls babysitting three kids in the pool who gravitated towards us for some reason while the guys kept their distance.
After that we arranged a nice dinner at a delicious Italian place in Westwood with the eight kids from the pool and Malcolm.
Then we all headed over to Sophie's (Studio 22 co-prez) apartment for a party. There we were joined by a few others. We played kings (my first time) and had a merry night.
Tomorrow we are hopefully taking the same group over to Hermosa Beach for some Fourth of July merriment. Ideally, the entire city of LA will NOT be joining us. We're getting an early start just in case.
To summarize: coming to LA for the summer has to be one of the best decisions I've made. I was concerned about leaving all my favorite people in Evanston, but meeting new people has been fantastic! I know I would never have met these people had I stayed in Chicago this summer. Plus the internship has been a blast. I'm so incredibly happy!
