This morning I was grateful to be warm and dry - it was very wet and windy outdoors. I think the birds in our garden were grateful for the full bird feeders.

And this dinner time I was grateful for left-overs - Boxing Day is one of my favourite dinners :)

Today's subject is Favourite part of Christmas Eve.

Throughout the day I wrap presents a few at a time, chop cabbage and apples and onions, peel parsnips and potatoes - and then we sit down to a non-meat dinner (peppers stuffed with rice, beans and cheese this year), before my very favourite time. D-d and I go to the candle-lit carol service;

Day 19 - Candy Canes. These are not really a thing around here, so I think I will skip that one. I have made some chocolate mint brownies though.
