A bit of upcycling and a new recipe.
Today I have been involved in an upcycling project for NYK2.
This was an old jumper of her uncle's which came down to her hips, and she thought it would be good as a shorty one. We considered it and decided it was quite feasible to just cut the bottom 12" off and then bind with bias binding. So we cut the bottom off when she was here on Thursday, then went to my local craft shop where she chose the bias binding, and this afternoon I stitched it on.
It is now a baggy jumper that will just come to her waist, and looks pretty good, really!
Also - a few years ago I made a point of posting a new recipe for the month for over a year. I got out of the habit, but this was our evening meal today -
It was a Hummus and paprika chicken traybake using this recipe. I cut each chicken thigh into three or four pieces to be sure they would cook through pretty quickly. Oh - and my red pepper was home roasted - I put it in the oven whilst cooking out dinner last night.
It is very good and worth repeating.
