As I promised on Tuesday, as my knee felt better yesterday I took the phone out to the garden to take a picture of the late-flowering buddleia -
It is not the most heavily bloom-laden buddleia ever - but it is the only one around in flower at present so late butterflies, and bees, appreciate it.
Right next to it is the thing with the red berries...
The first year we were here I thought it might be a cotoneaster - then I decided it was too tree-like to be a cotoneaster, perhaps it was a rowan. But really, the more I look at it the more the leaves look wrong to me for it to be a rowan. This afternoon I decided to research a little more and I begin to think it might be a
willow-leaved cotoneaster - any ideas? (I really must get the plant identification app on my phone!)
