T'was a week before Christmas...

I am just about managing to post each day this month. This morning I was visiting for coffee and mince-pies... the minister was having 'open house' all day. Her Christmas tree is beautiful, I wish I'd thought to take a picture. There were about half a dozen of us there over the morning - I expect there would have been similar numbers through the rest of the day.

We took a few minutes to finalise the Nativity Service for Sunday and made sure we both had the Power Point and the script, and had sent it to the gentleman who does the computer bit for us.

I picked NYK2 up from school this afternoon and the two of us went down to Church and found all the Nativity costumes we might need on Sunday and laid them out at the back of church - another job on the to-do list done! I have all the children's presents bought - tomorrow I will wrap them and take them down to Church to go under the tree, so that they can collect them at the end of the service, or leave them for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day - whenever they are likely to be there.

So - Nativity prep more or less done, thank goodness. I have to finish off the Goody Bags for the recipients who will be at Church on Sunday - but almost everything is now wrapped and labelled so it is only putting them together in the little carrier bags and writing cards to go in them; there should be time enough for that tomorrow.
