Sunday School!

Sunday School was fun - even though there were only 4 of them. We talked about worry, sharing burdens, and working together. This included making worry stones, and playing a game that involved crossing the floor standing on a sheet of newspaper - so much easier if two of you share two pieces... and they ate biscuits, drank juice, and generally were very happy to see each other!

We watched the Grand Prix - you could tell they hadn't had the chance to do as much testing as usual! And we took down the broken rotary dryer and put up a new pole for my bird feeder for the small birds.

There seems to be a UK-wide shortage of suet so no fat balls for the birds. Honestly I hear the sparrows in my mind singing "Fill it up now, the fat ball feeder!" to the tune of Fat Boy Slim's Funk Soul Brother! We didn't get the new dryer up yet as the rain started.

I made the Beef and Pasta Skillet meal again for dinner - and remembered to take a picture. Not that it is all that photogenic, but it does taste good!

And, as I had some pastry in the freezer, and a surfeit of eggs and milk, I made us an egg custard tart to have tomorrow. I didn't have any nutmeg to finish it properly, but I'm pretty sure it will taste good anyway.

And finally - here is the link to the Dawn and Voirrey show short service from St Andrew's church for today for anyone who wants to watch it.
