The blackbirds are now fully fledged and Sam, our nice gardening person, has cut the laurel back to about 7ft or so (a bit over 2m) - and the satellite signal is fine. The young blackbirds are fun to watch; there are at least three of them, as we have seen three at the same time, and they have decided our back garden is a good place to hop around looking for food. Also a good place to sit on bushes and cheep plaintively in the hopes that a parent will come with food, but their parents are turning a deaf ear!
I only seem to see them when both camera and phone are out of reach so no pics. But here is a picture of Tegi to show a) how unstressed she is if I go in to feed her for a couple of days, and b) that she can look totally not-fierce!
And - coming soon - it's Flower Festival 2019! We are not taking part this year and so I have time to visit some of the other venues. You have been warned!
