BBC v BBC!!

We are enjoying watching our resident pair of blackbirds dashing to and fro feeding their nestlings. They seem to average a visit with a full beak every 10-15 minutes from dawn to dusk. Sometimes they forage in our back garden and we can see whether there is a beak-full of caterpillar or a beak-full of grass seed heads ( Read more... )

Quite! And, fortunately, we can get a few channels on terrestrial which covers about half of the things we would usually try to watch.

They are healthily noisy, and clearly being well fed. I guess they will be in the laurel for another week or two though.

I hope the blackbirds don't decide to have another clutch in the same nest. They sometimes do that here. Oh dear! I couldn't evict a family like that either no matter what!.

I think this might, already, be a second clutch, although I'm by no means sure. I am really hoping it is their last for this year much though we enjoy watching them.
