Houses.
Where are we? We have reached the 'Memorandum of Sale' stage in the house moving thing. Just need our buyer to name an advocate to do their conveyancing and then it is up to the legal people.
And I am in a permanent state of low-level stress. The estate agent for the one we are buying is pushy and has already completed the Memorandum for the purchase even though the one for the sale isn't completed, but as I forgot to give the deposit cheque to our advocate at least she won't actually do anything until we do, so we won't find ourselves buying a house before we have sold one!
I wake up in the middle of the night thinking 'Oh my goodness - will the new place be OK? Will we be able to find someone to put a cat/small dog flap in the back door for us? What will be the best way to move the plants I want to take?' and so on.
But on the other hand, D-d and I made the Christmas cake on Sunday - although I am going to take it over to hers for storage in case I lose it in the packing!!
