Eurovision LJ Party at the Casa del Speakr 2 Wombats.
This is a post for ongoing commenting on Eurovision this evening - if you are watching and not at a party already you are definitely invited. Waves to epiphyta.
I am doing my best to be non-biased - we have paella, bruschetta, breadsticks, tzatziki, humus (OK, not quite - it will do for Israel!), pulled pork crisps, Italian beer, feta, olives, Sicilian lemon tarts...
D-d is partying with the usual friends. She 'is' Australia and will wear as close as she can to the current entrant 'mainly white with a bow made from wrapping paper' - and her proper Aussie hat. Her food donation is ostrich burgers (she says she first had them in Perth WA so it seems fine to her!) and she has made anzac biscuits.
The NYM is Austria - he wanted Finland but they didn't get through. He had planned 'Viking Rally Driver' so was quite disappointed. Tonight's Austria entry is 'not really him'. So, as he has a beard... you guessed - he is going as Conchita of course. D-d was sorting him out a nice evening dress. As for his food donation - They weren't sure Schnitzel was workable, no time to make a Sacher torte - so D-d suggested 'a couple of packets of Vienniese whirls'. I apologise to noadvertising profusely!
