What's so special about Sprinkles?

I admit, the Sprinkles cupcakes (such as the cupcakes in my icon) intrigue me. I've never had one (I don't live anywhere close to CA), but I do hope to try them someday. Until that day comes, in the meantime I'm wondering - what's so special about them? Do they taste different? How do they make the icing look so perfect? Does anyone have any

Definitely! My only (only!) issue with Crumbs was how huge the cupcakes are. Granted I got there at the end of a loooong day of tasting and rating cupcakes all over Manhattan. My friend and I split one and we were still barely able to finish it!



I also like Sugar Sweet Sunshine, and I really like The Little Cupcake Bakeshop in Brooklyn (Bay Ridge).
