Measure twice, cut once.

Not enough sleep. Woke up to screaming (surprisingly directed toward me) around 8 am after getting to sleep around 5:30. Not the most pleasant experience. Went back to bed around 8:30 until 10. That makes a combined 4 hours, if my math skills are still functional. Oh, this is funny: yesterday I thought six feet was 172 inches. Just... you know, tack on 100 inches as a math fee. Or something. Anyway, that's what cost us the $30 in supplies.

So today is when we tweak and finalize the bits and pieces of our design, and make sure that the presentation boards are hot. JAM did them, so I think they'll be good. Oh, and redo the model. Yeah, that should be fucking fun. Four ft by six ft, did I mention that? 1/4" = 1'-0" is fairly gigantic for a site of this magnitude. So we have to compose a 5-minute PowerPoint presentation. Tonight from 7 to 9 we have a satellite video conference with the Univ of Wisconsin LArch department. They did the charrette too. We all give our presentations over this satellite thing... it'll be weird. I'm so fucking pissed about our model. I'm going over there momentarily to help salvage what I can, but most of it will have to be restructured. Grrrr... MEASURE TWICE, CUT ONCE. Duh. I think some of these people just don't care about it as much as the rest of us do. I mean... is it that much trouble to measure? We have scales, they do all the size conversions. Frustration.

Meeting with the oral surgeon today in preparation and to plan... goodbye wisdom teeth, hello porcelain tooth?
