(no subject)
So...in my efforts not to give in and allow the city/MUNI to have my money for their scam of citation issuing when I have the pass that I am said not to....
I went to Bryant St. downtown..found my way to the building and correct room and got an appt for a court hearing on april 27th at 630 pm to show them the pass, explain I wasnt given time to look for it and that im a student and this is an EXTREME inconvenience and that I need this money...and HOPE they lower the amt.
But despite the difficulty in getting ANY info out of the little man at the window there...i found out i dont have to pay til after the hearing BUT that i WILL still have to pay something..It just will hopefully be significantly less. UGH
BUT then I managed to get a lil lost cause i realized the street i got there on the bus by was one way...so which street does it go back on??? Called roommate, Megan, (er actually i called the wrong megan first..need to add last names in phone lol, sry for buggin u at work chica!) but she wasnt much help...she wanted me to walk like 5 blocks lol and kept getting diff directions when looking it up for me. So i finally found out it was just one street down but after standing on the street corner feeling awkward for a while i gave up on the bus and walked 5 blocks back to Market anyhow. Paid $1.50 for MUNI from Civic Center to Powell (one stop but SO worth it at this point..creepy part of town and sun was setting). And finally felt safer and finished my errands. I did meet a nice lady on the way home who happened to live like across the street from my building..small world huh? So yeah..that isnt even all the details but that was the jist of my adventure yesterday...it was good overall tho. I felt very independent as I walked the last block home by myself.
And now ive got to figure out what to wear cause im going out dancin! :0]
