(no subject)
Life right now is interesting
Having taken a semester off from physics in order to attempt to clear my mental block toward it (i sound like i belong in a mental institution the way i worded that lol) i find myself with MUCH less work...
...and its weird. Seriously, I feel like..actually im not sure how i feel about it. Partly relieved thats for sure bc for once im NOT behind when we've barely started. I did my first calc 3 assignment and on time! LOL and am working on the 2nd tomorrow while on my way to downtown to help set up the new VS store there. And otherwise I dont really have any hw as of yet.
There is plsi reading but the book isnt due to arrive until thurs or fri i think?
Speaking of mailing/books...i posted 4 books on half.com to sell and sold 3 in just a wk! yay for money! lol i earned bet 40 and 50 bucks (2 were cheap books. once cause it was a teeny tiny poetry one and the other cause its an old edition which sucks but o well, at least i got something for it.)
My CA ID should be arriving sometime soon too..im really curious to see how the pic came out..cause the guy who took it seemed like one of those "dont give a crap about my job/disgruntled DMV employee/its the end of the day and i wanna go home" type people..so we shall see. BUT im excited to get it!
Oh and Im a good gf and i mailed his V-day gift today too :0] And it should arrive either day before or on the 14th. Mailed some cards to the fam too..so now i feel good cause i get to make other ppl smile. lol
REALLY freaking curious what hes got planned for me tho...cause he knows hes got some making up to do and he knows i sent him something that i put a decent amt of time/effort into...so it should be interesting. I dont care how much it costs (meaning it can be something cheap) so long as its meaningful and shows effort. ie that he cares. thats all! it can be a mushy card and homemade cookies or something lol. him baking cookies...
Go to store..buy refrigerated dough...get home..open package...put on pan...put in oven..pull out and let cool (maybe) and eat lol. He can cook tho but baking is more my thing. :0]
New roommie is good. We get along. Shes got some interesting quirks but not in a bad way so shes cool. She actually has a lot of random things in common with my bro lol. such as shes an english major, has swords, likes asian cultured things/ most anime.
Work is..er was good. Lexie left :0[ but its cause she got a promotion to work at the new store so congrats to her but boo cause shes not at our store now. But we got3 new co mngrs. Sarah is cool..she and lexie kinda traded places. Melanie is also cool..just kinda weird having her as a mangr cause shes only worked with company for 5 months, JUST turned 20 and will be married for a yr as of this june..crazy! Nothing like being on the fast track with your life huh? but she moved to mngr so fast cause she worked downtown with Leah who is good at spotting good ppl and moving them up...again sucks that she left our store..makes me think i maybe should transfer but working downtown would be sucksville bc of the commute..we shall see after this wk since i work there 3 days.
Newho the last new mngr is Ella and she is a biotch on freaking wheels. UGH..i seriously went home sat (1st day mtg her for any of us) feeling like a majorly disgruntled employee and pissed off at the world (although i didnt realize how annoyed i was until i found myself annoyed at my roommate for no reason that night and practically picking a fight w/ruben on the phone also over nothing..needless to say i decided to keep to myself cause it wasnt their fault. Then of course it bugged me more that she bugged me that much lol...sunday wasnt ne better..in fact it was a lil worse. Gillian tossed the fitting room key at her lol!
After that lil disagreement Ella was all trying to be sweetness and nice..yeah too late missy.
So hopefully she wont stick around??? unfortunately in the mean time she is the one i have to deal with to get my transfer from BBW to go thru so i can call HR and get my pay adjusted and get retroactive pay for the time until it was adjusted.
Oh yeah so raising min wage is cool and all but theres a HUGE SUCKY SIDE too. See i was making a decent amt above min wage and a lil above the new hires (should have been more above them but o well) but NOW i am making a tiny bit below the sf min wage (soon to be changed to sf min wage) and the new hires are now being hired at 9.50 (sf min wage is 9.14). So ill be making LESS than the BRAND NEW ppl..and ive been there almost TWO FREAKING YEARS!!!! Needless to say, thats SO NOT COOL...Im gonna talk to HR about it when i call about the other stuff and see what they say...at least raises come in march..PRAY that I get a GOOD one!!!!
Okay its late and ive got a looong day ahead of me and the cold pack on my poor foot (yeah i screwed it up again somehow) is defrosted so i think its time for sleep now.
