So, I think it's time I do a mondo update on the happenin's.
Take my advice, go see Lily's band. She sang awesomely and basically kicked ass at the Saloon. Demand more parts Lily!
My dad is now the president of the Akins Volleyball booster club...meaning Jamie is now the president of the Akins Volleyball booster club. Both Nicole and Amelia are on JV. It amazes me as to how good they both are. It's interesting though, seeing as they are always fighting. They getting really big into the whole college recruitment thing. Amelia's looking to play for TCU and Nicole really has her heart set on Purdue or Penn State. They also will both be playing for Austin JR's (15's and 16's) this year, which most likely means a trip to the Junior Olympics. Most of my time has been spent helping them and their teams out. I'm really excited for them.
Nic and I have been searching high and low for a new apartment. There's talk of us getting something with Al and Dorianna. Meaning we may have a yard for Peyton. We've got our hearts set on Oak Run (290 / Bannister).
For the meantime, we've been working our asses off. Especially moi. One of my managers got fired so that means I get triple the work load but no promotion or raise. Really, I just want the raise. I've gone the past few weeks doing 9-10 hour work days/ no lunch break. I guess it's not as bad as my colleague who went 17 hours in one day.
We're going to be foster parents for a new male kitty (charcoal color) in September. So if anyone wants a kitten, please let us know. His mom rejected him and keeps putting him out in the street to be killed. He's been bottle fed since birth practically b/c she won't let him eat. He's been sneezing a little bit but that should go away as he gets older. I'll have pictures up whenever we get him in September.
I will have to update later as my boss keeps walking by my office as if trying to spy on me. *sigh* Why can't school start already. Arrg. If I see the word "mic key g tube" one more time, I'm gonna ralph.
