VID: Encore by cupidsbow (The One, PG-13)

I've made it through to the next round (yay), but I can't decide what to do for the new challenge. *puts on thinking cap*
Here's my entry for Round 1...

For: fanvideo_las Round 1: shades of grey.
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Lots of fast cuts and flashing lights.
Summary: You can't replace him with cheap imitations.

"Shades of grey" was the theme this round, and a great theme it was too. I had heaps of ideas for several different sources, which made it hard to pick.
What it came down to in the end was that I really wanted to use DM's mashup of The Beatles' White Album and Jay-Z's Black Album, because it's awesome and fits the theme perfectly. And once I'd chosen that, the choice of source was obvious: the awesome Jet Li, or rather, multiple Jet Lis. Jet Li kicking his own ass and taking his own alternate universe names. Is that not the perfect combination of awesome things?
Chock full of shades of morally dubious grey: check. Fits with the song's theme of 'encore': check. Gobsmackingly gorgeous visuals, full of neat stuff to vid: CHECK!
The hardest part of making this in the end was time -- I'm such a slow vidder, and I really needed another couple of days to make final tweaks. But, eh, that's the nature of flashvids. No time is part of the challenge.
I'm pretty pleased with how the vid turned out anyway. I haven't tried anything quite so fast-paced and hard-edged before, but it came out okay despite that.
What do you think? I'm happy to hear concrit if you've got it. The whole Last Author Standing project is really about pushing yourself as an artist and taking on board critique. So if you've got feedback, positive or negative, as long as it's constructive I'd love to hear it.
