It's been grey and rainy for the last few days- and finally, I'm home to enjoy it. (Coffee shops during wet weather, during the Christmas season when everyone is out shoping? BUSY.) And this is the day when the storm system decided to quit fooling around with the constant 'spitting' it was doing, and actually come down hard. With some strong wind at times, as well.

And I get to stay home, in a house where there is decorations, gift wrapping, and baking going on. <3

The poor dogs have been mostly stuck inside, though. Currently, they're tearing up and down the long hallway- like little kids roughhousing because its too wet to go play outside. Two of the cats are somewhat joining them- Jones and Ana were teasing Indy (the youngest dog) earlier, playing 'Chase me, find me' in the living room and hallways. I think they're all sick of being cooped up in the house. (My sister and I weren't ever this bad when we were kids- well, now our parents get to have the joy of dealing with this sort of thing during inclement weather- and with 'kids' that listen even less. >_> )

We don't have a fire going in the fireplace- yet. Dad did bring in a load of wood into the garage. I'll have to see if its alright for me to get one going. We do have candles lit- all four of them on the Advent Wreath, as well as a line in one of the windows.

Also in the windows- the oldest cat, Sabrina. Right now she's having fun watching the House Finches outside. Its wet and windy enough that they're perched up in the eaves, when they're not at the feeders. The bay windows poke out enough that you can look out and see them, all along the line of the house. I do feel sorry for them- but considering this is just rain (and not even that cold), and not snow- I do think the birds will survive.

Hmmm. I may just have to see if we have any hot toddy supplies in the house. Cheerio, and Happy Holidays.
