(no subject)
Hurrah for a day off- at least enough of a day off to do some things. Haircut and clothes shopping, mostly. Though- a definite 'hurrah' for buying jeans one size smaller than I had been before! (Also purchased: a belt so I can keep wearing the older, larger ones.)
I may have managed three days off in a row coming up this week. Sunday, then Monday and Tues. The last two were by request- and then I realized that adding in the Sunday from this week... Well. I'm not complaining. I had tried talking my mom into going on a over-night trip- perhaps up to Santa Barbara. (Lately I've been craving going to the beach- or at least anywhere with sand and water.) However, she kept waffling and mentioning other things she had to do, so-
I'll be out with Griff and Danny for those days. <3 They live right near downtown Riverside, and very much in walking distance of many cool places. The museum there has a quilt exhibit that I wanted to see, and there's lots of shops and what not. To just have a few days off from work and not have to worry about things, and to be able to just walk around and do whatever I'd like for a bit seems so very lovely. There's even an indie coffee shop in that area I've heard good things about- and if that fails, I saw a new Starbucks down the street. >_> I'll be taking my laptop- they have wireless, so I'll be able to check email and possibly be online a bit. I'm also looking forwards to cooking a few meals- they also have a grocery store across the street. I'm so looking forwards to this- now here is me crossing my fingers that I do get Monday and Tues off- I'm pretty sure I will, just not 100%. I should know for sure tommorrow.
OH. One other thing I love about downtown Riverside is the buildings- most of them are gorgeous. I'll be taking along the camera, and will hopefully post some up.
