A new song from Justin Rutledge - I'm really looking forward to this album in May!

I love this guy - he unexpectedly came out to play banjo on a couple of songs for Julie Fader when she was opening for Hey Rosetta! last time I saw them. He sat down right in front of me; I wouldn't even have had to stretch to touch him (but I didn't! I was good!). ( Read more... )

Yes, it was a wonderful feeling. Now if I can just get through my last assignment for school, I will be able to relax!

Not too close, unfortunately...
We're flying into Paris on May 1 - we'll be there until Tuesday, then heading to Amsterdam/Netherlands for a few days, then Belgium and possible Luxembourg, then back to Paris on May 13 and home on the 15th.
How much longer are you going to be at Reading? I might just hop on a plane sometime next year (depending on my financial situation, of course) and come see you for a few days? Or are you planning a visit to Canada this year? I still want to go out to NFLD to see Sarah at some point too...

YES! I'm totally pumped :D My sister has never been, so I'm taking her to see Paris. After that we're going to the Netherlands, then Belgium and possibly Luxembourg. Just for two weeks - I kind of wish we were going for longer because I really want to see the south of France and Spain, but neither of us can really afford it, despite getting good deals on airfare and staying in hostels :D

No, I've never been to Italy, I would like to though - I'm really into art history, so that would be amazing. I know a couple of people who've been to Venice, they really loved it.
The money thing is tough - the first time I went, I started saving a few dollars ($5 or $10) here and there in a separate savings account until I had a decent amount. The passport thing is kind of a necessity for someone living in a border town, because we go across to the States pretty frequently. It's a good thing to have, anyway, because if you do want to go somewhere, it takes a while to get it. If you have it already it saves a lot of time.
