Now that I have more time to reply, let me speak up in defense of my fucking employer.

The problem is that we have fairly stringent standards that protect subscriber confidentiality. Part of the fallout from the "Paris Hilton incident" is that these security procedures are being emphasized even more, even though that incident was her being silly about her passwords, not really OUR security.

If your home phone number is listed on someone's account that is past due, it is very difficult to get into that account as the CS reps are strictly monitored to make sure THEY are obeying the guidelines. I know who you are and that you are not trying to access someone else's account for nefarious purposes, however, the CSR's have to assume that unless you know the password, you are trying to use "social engineering" to access an account that is not yours. I know it sucks, but let me talk to some people and see what we can do for you.

On a side note, when I got the mobile number that I have now (it was activated with AT&T and since moved to T-Mobile), I got constant calls for over two years for a Heather Ulich. Apparently she didn't pay her bills either and had the mobile number listed on her past due accounts. To this day (nearly 5 years later) I still get the occasional call for her.

The hard part will be finding out what account your home phone number is attached to. But I know people. People that owe me. ;)

That makes total sense, the laws have gotten tighter.

I appreciate you doing whatever you can in influencing those who owe you ;)

Thanks again my friend
