Hey guys, just wanted to tell you that I'm working on a shit ton of tees for teen boys (and maybe some girls) and I'm having the WORST time centering the designs. I look at them in bodyshop and they look about right but then I put them on a sim and it's like "oh hai I'm waaaaaaaay too far left! hope that's okay with you :D" and I'm sitting there ( Read more... )

CLUTTER UP MY JOURNAL ALL YOU WANT BB! XD

I know, that one probably was the easiest to center because it was a bigger design, I'm trying with other fullbleed designs but some of them are just :/

I didn't know what Full Bleed is so I googled a bit and... Aww! I am amazed, all those shirts are awesome! :D

they're really really fantastic. Making shirts like this is tough.
they're really great as they are, but if you wanted you could use a blur tool around the edges a bit, and make the designs slightly transparent. But if you don't want to do that, they're really great as is.

what program are you using? I know Photoshop has a grid function, that might help you center things. You just hit view>grid or something.
or you could make a seperate layer with a straight line, and then just put the line in the middle of the shirt and match the designs up with it.

I'm using Paint.Net since whenever someone tries to send me photoshop my computer growls at me. I'm still working on them so I need all the help I can get and I'm copy pasta'ing this message into note pad so I don't forget it. :D The straight line idea is perfect, I've got bodyshop open right now so I'm going to fiddle with the tools and see what I come up with.

Okay, my program obviously hates black tees for transparency and the grid function is extremely small. I did try it for one design [a l4d2 one] and I completely lost one of the black characters face XD BUT I am going to keep trying. I did the line suggestion and that's working better than I thought it would. Thank you!

These are looking great! :D And if you're interested, Gimp is also a tool you can use (if you haven't already heard of it that is). Wouldn't really help with your centering problem though.

I think I had Gimp a while ago, is it what you use?
