It's been a while.....

but I'm starting to feel a bit better everyday. It's been 3 months since Baby Hayes passed away. I spent the holidays alone which was not really great but allowed me to be grumpy and not affect anyone.

I am headed to the Philippines next week for a week. Family is set to join me here on March 18th, which, I'm really looking forward to. I was going to write something about my company here but realized that it's probably better for me not to say it since it's not public info....needless to say, it has caused a few sleepless nights. But I won't let it affect me, because it's not really that big in the grand scheme of things.

I ran yesterday...outside. Gorgeous day in Allen, TX. In the mid 70's and I ran 3 miles..most I've done in pavement since August, actually, first I've done in pavement since August. I've lose 25lbs and need to lose another 25-30lbs to get into race shape. I averaged 7:20 miles yesterday and felt I could've gone faster. I even hopped on the trainer afterwards, so I think I'm getting into a groove.

I better because...I'll be racing either an IM or the 24 hour triathlon in August or September. Why...well I really don't know. Should I go target an easier event? I really should. Will I? Absolutely not. But I'm planning on raising money for a couple of orphanages in the Philippines in doing the event. One caters to all girls and the other one to children with special needs. I'll probably start the fund raising effort when the family gets here. I'll feel so much better knowing I can get a few months of training in without having any major disruptions like traveling.

Hopefully the training will give me an ample excuse to visit Austin more and ride there. It's quite crappy riding in the Dallas area. I hope I'll be a little bit better about getting into some sort of a routine. Busy was good because it got me through some restless nights and kept my mind of things, but now I need to move forward.

I targeted to do 80 miles of total running this month. As I put that resolution down, I just realized how much that really is, specially for the kind of shape I'm in (round). Oh, and I love the new Kain unis, I love the fabric.

Well..that's it for now.
