For some reason,
snowflake_challenge entries haven't been showing in my inbox. So I might work backwards. Or not.
Today's challenge is to rec three fanworks not by yourself. I don't want to rec the same things I always rec or that everyone else tends to rec. So I've looked over my bookmarks.
Jeeves And The Explosive Parcel by
airandangels Fandom: Jeeves And Wooster
Summary: Bang! Ow! Proust! What?
When Jeeves foils a fiendish plot, involuntary memory rears its head. Rated T
Why I'm Reccing It: This is based on a true story! Here is a bit of the story that is quoted at the beginning: "Herrick’s English valet, Lawrence Blanchard, had worked with bombs in the First World War and recognized the whirring sound within the package as a Mills hand grenade. He hurled the package into the ambassador’s bathroom an instant before it detonated." There is angst, h/c and a bit of fluff. I mean, Jesus, how can you not read this fic?
On The Subject Of Soulmates by
albionraine Fandom: Jeeves and Wooster
Summary: Soulmates are a rummy business all round, just how is a chap supposed to find his without it being spelled out for him?
A glimpse into five universes where Wooster couldn't find his soulmate, and the one where he did.
Why I'm Reccing It: This is a sweet, subtle 5-times fic. Bertie keeps not noticing that Jeeves is his soulmate, although Jeeves knows it.
Three Men Deducing by ladykeane
Fandoms: Jeeves and Wooster, Sherlock (TV), Sherlock Holmes - ACD
Characters: Mycroft Holmes/Greg Lestrade, Reginald Jeeves/Bertie Wooster, Sherlock Holmes/John Watson
Summary: Mycroft visits the office of Reginald Jeeves, his most trusted solicitor. So does everybody else. Rated G
Why I'm Reccing It: This is a modern AU. It's impossible to divulge the plot without giving everything away. It's short and hilarious, almost like a French farce with all of the door openings!
