Every Cloud has a Silver Lining (ichihime drabble)
Ichigo was pissed.
He woke up sore from the previous night of battling hollows that have been appearing more recently than ever before. He was awakened by his father's usual tricks at trying to pick a fight with him and ended up having to clean up the living room after their ramble went down.
"Great," he thought,"Now I'm going to be late to class."
The walk to school was no more pleasant than his morning. The weather had turned for the worse and the sky was covered with depressing dark grey clouds. Ichigo was about to lose it as it started pouring when made it half way to school and realized that he didn't bring an umbrella. When he finally made it to class no one dared ask him any questions about why he was late, after seeing his scowling (more than usual) expression.
Everyone of course, except for a certain ditzy red head.
"Morning Kurosaki-kun!" Orihime chirped at him.
Although the fact that that she still called him that after all they have been through made him uneasy, he couldn't help but feel like he was on cloud nine, seeing her cast him a smile brighter than the sun itself.
I guess even the darkest clouds have a silver lining.
