Reason #359 Why Ren Hates Religion
In Pakistan they have laws so strict against blasphemy that simply being accused is often enough to get you murdered in your home by a mob, even if you are proven innocent in a court of law.
A few weeks ago a Christian girl was accused of blasphemy because she, supposedly burned pages of the Koran. She's illiterate and she was burning paper to keep warm because, unsurprisingly, Christians are kind of the shat-upon minority in Pakistan.
Now it turns out that an iman may have planted burned pages of the Koran in with the girl's papers so he could accuse her of blasphemy. While not in this article, he's supposedly quoted as saying something to the effect "That's how you get rid of Christians."
Why do I have the feeling that we'll see this guy get off and the girl and her family murdered by a pack of savages? Fuck religion.
