Home Sweet Home
I'm not home yet but that's where I'll be when I get off of work today. YAY!
So I went to this jazz....thing last night. It was interesting. It was in someones home and apparently every few months these people hire live entertainment to come in and they invite their close friends who can invite friends who can invite other friends so there was quite an eclectic group there last night. Even though jazz isn't my thing I thought it was pretty cool to watch them wail away and take requests. Anyway, good times. I'll have to tuck that away and remember that idea for later on in life when I've got the cash to hire musicians to come into my home and entertain my friends.
Valentines day was surprising. I really didn't think we were doing anything other than going to my parents house for dinner but Daniel actually brought me some flowers and then later on that night he walked in with a couple of Nordstroms bags. (nothing like waiting until the last second! ;) ) He bought me some new cute boots and some pretty "undergarmets." I got him a fancy poker set. Now I guess that means we'll be having poker nights.
We leave for our St. Louis/L.A. trip on Saturday night. I'm excited but at the same time I know it's not going to be the sit back and relax type of vacation and I could really use that right about now. It's okay though, one night of Sigur Ros for my listening enjoyment will make it all worth it.
