It's that time again... Fanime pre-reg prices go up after January 31. I'm working downtown this year, plus I am still planning/hoping to enter the karaoke contest, so no reason for me not to lock things in now.

So far, no cosplay inspiration has struck hard enough, so I may just be an ordinary con-goer this time.

Oh shit. Someone came out with an awesome Sima Shi.

Good thing I'd already gotten over my idea of cosplaying him.

Maybe I'll be inspired to do someone in one of the shows I'm watching right now. If not, preparing for the karaoke contest will probably keep my hands full anyway.

I had a dream a few nights ago that some friends and I were sitting in a room with a projector screen, watching a live feed of skits from AX. I guess that's a sign that I should get to posting about those thoughts for next year's Fanime that I mentioned last time ( Read more... )

On the whole, Yaoi-Con 2010 was great, and I am glad I went. There were some many moments when it reminded me of the years Fanime was too big for it to know how to deal -- long lines with nowhere to go; stupid, unfair policies for how to deal with people in those lines; panels falling behind because of the time it took to empty the room and re- ( Read more... )
