Battle Log 12/28/15

Measurements as of 9:32pm.

OK, I’ve officially determined that the Pivotal Living tracker is great for day to day walking but, it really sucks at tracking distance for running.  Steps are hard to judge but, distance is way off.  Per Zombies, Run! I ran 5.32 miles and per Runkeeper I ran 5.3 miles.  My Pivotal Living band had me at 2.04 miles prior to my run and only 5.3 miles after my run!

I am going to check for my miles on the Pivotal BEFORE running from now on and simply add my run to that plus either .5 or 1 mile depending upon when in the day it is in order to account for whatever further distance I might be walking.

That being said, I am pretty stoked that I ran 5.3-5.32 miles in 55 minutes 5 seconds!  I can’t believe that after taking so long of a break from running, I’m still able to do OK.  My goals overall are not for speed but, distance.  If I can get down to between 9-10 minutes a mile, I’ll be happy, so long as I can run all day at that pace.

Tanya picked up our kettle bell set today so, I may be hunting Nerd Fitness for a beginner kettle bell workout to replace the idea of doing the beginner bodyweight one.  The set comes with a 5lb, 10lb, and 15lb weight plus a starter DVD.  I may start with the 5lb just to be safe.  I don’t know that I can’t start with the 10lb but, I’ve never done kettle bell workouts before so, better to play it safe while I learn the basic moves, etc.
Goals Met:
  • Sleep: 7 hours
  • Water: 80oz
  • Steps: 14,431 steps/7.59 miles (estimated as noted)
  • Bible Readings
Done but, can’t even remember them.  I may need to change the time I am doing these readings.  I also am planning on changing to Matthew Kelly’s Rediscover Jesus starting in the new year.
Issues:

Still trying to balance anger and frustration.  I honestly hope I can make a positive change regarding this.  Like I said yesterday, sometimes I wish I could just give up feeling anything if it would mean I could control anger, frustration, and lack of peace.  Hopefully if I can allow God to work properly in my life, that will help, along with some counseling and such.
