I'm tired . . .

I'm so tired!
Paul read me a post from RRC, which I have not been reading for quite some time now. I have come to the conclusion that newsgroups bring out the worst in darn near everyone. The time I spent on AFD was much the same - whilst in my time there both as Rielyn and as Greenwater, I met many wonderful dragons and other assorted beings, several of whom I still read here on LJ, the volume of trolling and flame-warring far outweighed (to my way of thinking) the positive benefits. Same for alt5, my other once-upon-a-time frequent haunt. And it's much the same on RRC now.
The post Paul read to me, in which a certain person publicly attacks a park for allegedly filing a complaint on him to the ACE executive council, has served to accomplish exactly two things:
1) at a time when I was beginning to really miss reading Keith, Matthew and a couple of others on RRC, this post has pretty much reinforced the idea that the trolling and flaming isn't worth being there - especially since I am in fairly regular contact with Keith, Matthew and crew outside of RRC anyway. I won't lose 'em, so to hell with the flaming.
2)The jerk in question needs to be suspended or removed from ACE at this point. He has very definately violated the code of conduct, and all the newsgroup bs aside, I am seriously considering lodging a complaint with the ACE executive council myself about him. The thought of lodging complaints, although not necessarily with ACE, about at least one other person, has also occured. *sigh* See what I mean?
In other news, the domain name has been renewed, and is slowly re-propagating through the web. I've put my own style back up - if you can't see it, or still can't see pictures I've posted, there's probably not much I can do about that yet. They tell us it could take as much as 4 days for everything to filter through. It'll get straightened out eventually.
