(no subject)
Silk Road was a pretty good place. The free wine was cool but I didn't have any. There's an AMAZING cafe on 83rd between Amsterdam and Broadway called "Cafe Lalo" (pronounced lay-low I believe). I was really hoping to go there but after the restaurant we had too many tipsy people to sit down there. I wasn't going to interrupt other people's evening with a bunch of drunks. Oh well, maybe next time. It's kinda weird how obsessed people become with getting drunk. If it were up to me, I'd rather just go down to a coffee shop or a jazz bar in the village and have fun. I'd take that over "Tinkers" (our local bar) any day.
My friend Vic said that she'd like to hang out next weekend which would be a real blast if it happens. I haven't seen her in so long. (You know - it's weird when you write these "livejournal" things because you're never quite sure what you should be typing - if anyone will be offended or something).
Tomorrow I'm off to the Botanical Gardens in the morning and then to the city for the "Big Apple Anime Festival". S. Wantanabe will be there at 5:00 in the Virign Megastore and I'm hoping for an autograph or something. He's the one who created "Cowboy Bebop" - my absolute favorite Anime series.
