Excited about the Olympics?

Nope, me neither. But the folks at the BBC sure are, probably because they're televising it, and London has the next Summer Olympics in 2012. They're so pumped up/worried that they commissioned this animated video to drum up interest. I'm really only interested in a couple of the events besides opening ceremonies. I've always loved watching gymnastics ... and sometimes some other sport will happen to catch my eye for a bit, last year it was swimming. :)

I could never get into gymnastics - while I admire the routines and the skills, I always thought the scoring too subjective to understand. I tend to gravitate to the team sports myself - basketball, hockey, volleyball, and so forth.

I've never paid that much attention to scoring ... I just enjoy the form and beauty of the skill.

I've never been much into team sports, not even when forced to watch football growing up.
