Almost Holiday Time for Me
Time now is 13:18 CAT(Central African Time for those who are not aware that Africa actually keeps time) and I have a remaining two hours and a bit to go before my last day at work and then I go on a months leave.
Leave has eluded me (through fault of my own) for about two years. All other leave was for study purposes, however that F%^^$ degree seems elusive as ever. Stupid Accounts and taxes(Please note this is my excuse for my laziness and boredom with accounts).
I will be loading my VW Polo with my camping belongings and leaving the city trappings behind and hitting the long road to a foreign country Mozambique. This is on the coast of South Africa but way past Durban on the right hand side if you are looking at a map. I will be camping on the beach, no cell phone and a laptop but will not be able to connect I suppose.
I will then be travelling back into South Africa to a game park called the Kriger National Park, this is filled with game like Lions, elephants, hyena's, cheetahs, Buffalo's and pretty much anything else that is free to walk around. There are even rhino's on the golf course, we will be camping among them!!!Try hitting a golf ball past that and not tick it off.
My spouse is terrified of spiders so I will see how this will be going down ;-)
I will be posting pictures and have told myself I am going to be open to all of it and grab it with both hands. Not be lazy and stick to my campsite as is my usual trip.
I will even be looking to swim with dolphins while in Mozambique!
Here is to switching off from everything and dissappearing with the person you love most in the world and rediscovering who you are.
No deadlines, no ringing phones, no alarm clock, no bran food, no constant tv blaring, no endless meetings with no point but to loads of laughing, relaxing, listening to the waves and the animals and to cuddling with your loved one while the sun rises to a new day....
