OMG! I can't believe the demons in this town. Grr. Elissa and I were attacked on our way home from our sisters day of shopping! I had my stake, but it's not like I can fight off four vampires and protect my sister. Thank God the slayer was around. She and that blond vampire she is always with jumped in and saved Elissa's and my lives. Seriously grateful!
Good thing she is already being paid by the military (what? I'm a reporter, I get paid to snoop around.) because I was so ready to ask Nate about hiring her as a personal protector of the city or something. Of course, I had to explain to Elissa that just because of the blond vampire, Spike, was fighting on the slayer, Buffy's, side, didn't mean she could trust most vampires. They are top of the food chain kind of demons and they really view us as food.
At least none of the stuff we bought got ruined in the fight. Elissa and I went home, told Nate about the attack and while he was making phone calls, we had cocoa and wrapped the presents. Hell, I spiked both of our cocoa with Kahula because underager or not, my little sister survived a vampire attack. It was worth a shot of liquor.
The mansion is decorated so pretty. I really like who Nate hired. We're having an open house tomorrow for the citizens to come in and have egg nog and munchies and meet and greet their Mayor. (Have to keep those voters happy!). I think my parents may stop by for New Years. They want to meet Nate and see how Elissa is doing. Note to self: Make sure their is a lot of liquor in the mansion if they show up. I want to black out during their visit.
