Well, this weekend was so awesome!
Saturday I worked most of the day, but it wasn't too bad. Then on Saturday night I went to Sharyl's 21st birthday party. It was sooooooooo much fun! We ate dinner at Olive Garden and there were 13 of us girls, and Sharyl was the only one I knew. But instead of being the quiet one who waits for others to talk to her (like I usually am) I decided that I was going to be the talkitive one, and you know what? It made it so much more fun. I just put myself out there and I got to talk to some pretty cool girls. After a fabulous dinner we went to Michelle and Cindy's apartment to watch "Rent" :) I was so happy to watch that, I love it so, so, so much! It was so hard not to sing along with all of the songs, but I contained myself the best that I could. It was weird, a couple of the girls didn't like it, I think it's because they're ultra Christian and saw the movie as promoting sympathy towards AIDS victims and drug users, rather than a story about the love between friends. It was just hard for me to imagine it not touching them like it does me, but it's alright, they're obviously entitled to their own opinions. So, overall, it was a fabulous night! I love Sharyl, I can't wait until we have class together again next semester!
Today we had a state-wide hillel retreat thingy in Denver. It was really fun. We got to see some of the CU and DU folks, which was nice. And the speaker, Greg Forbes Sigmund, was really interesting. He has definitely lived a very unique and fascinating life, and he had some very good messages to pass on to us. The drives down and back up were also really fun. I got to talk with Brooke a lot, which is normal, but I always have so much fun with her. In fact, I ate with her in the dorms when we got back, because really, 2 hours in the car was not enough chatting time for us. When I got back here it was time to clean my room a bit, do some homework, and watch "Grey's Anatomy" (which was really good, by the way).
Ok, so I really am so excited for the triathlon, you have no idea. This semester I haven't worked out as much as normal (mainly because of early classes and being sick forever), and I think I was really feeling the effects of it (meaning, I was feeling not as happy as usual). But the last couple days I have felt so much better about everything and I've been more cheery, and I think it's because I'm working out a lot again. I love the feeling after working out, the release of dopamine (or seratonin, I can't remember which one) is so awesome. So yeah, I'm feeling good.
Ok, now it's time for bed, goodnight!
