Sometimes I get tired of having to think of names for my journal entries.  Thus...

Anyway, on this day...

... in 1922, Rebecca Felton became the first female senator in US history.
... in 1952, Britain tested it's first atomic bomb (successful one, whatever that means) off the coast of Australia.
... in 1990, East and West Germany formally reunited (for their World Domination Tour, of course).
... in 1925, Gore Vidal was born.
... in 1900, Thomas Wolfe was born.

I have about sixty thousands guest coming this weekend and my house looks like the Giants played the Packers in my living room.  And my kitchen.  And my guest room.  And my room.  And we won't talk about the bathroom...  I have three days to get this dealt with.  Well, two and a half because the first two guests are getting here Friday, though no time was given as to their ETA.  They're not early risers, so I'm not expecting them before noon.

Also, I have to schedule an appointment with the Sheriff's office this week sometime to get my fingerprints taken for my background check that I somehow completely forgot to do about six months ago.

Also, I have just regular old work to do.  This is going to be a busy, busy week.  It's already been a busy past couple weeks.  I haven't gotten to talk to Luke or Andii like I want, I haven't been able to clean out the stupid cupboard where the mousies made their homes.  I haven't written anything since I moved up North so we won't put that on the list as something that actually counts, I just wanted to mention it.  I have yet to call the DJ and set up an appointment for a meeting in November (because that's the next time we have an opening in our schedule).  I need to set up a meeting with the cake lady, I need to call the reverend back, I need to call the events coordinator at the reception site back, I need to find out the delivery charge for the folding chairs, I need to order two thousand yards of ribbon, ten million mason jars and equally as many candles.  I need to e-mail my parents with the latest costs and deposits for all this crap.  I need to send out a newsletter.  I need a vacation!!!
