I've been doing homework since about 8:15 this AM, so i deserve to take a break to whine. Here it is, so if you don't like it, don't read. I will end with happiness, though, because I'm just like that.
1. I haven't seen the sun in over two weeks. According to weather.com it is 38 and raining, feels like 30. It does feel like 30. Its freezing and wet and miserable. Where is the sun?
2. This homework is tedious. I have to give a presentation on GLBT issues in adolescence for my SWSS 47 (human behavior in the social environment) class tomorrow. They're only giving me 10 minutes to throw out info. I wrote the presentation before doing the research, then had to find articles to back it up. Thats okay, but I really didn't care to do annotated bibliographies for all 6 articles that are backing up what I am presenting that I already know. THAT is what I have been doing all day.
3. When I finish this homework, I have a paper on racism to finish (for the same class of tedious homework to report what you knew before you started the class. Seriously, I'm sure I could learn something about racism, but she wants us to report on such basic shit!)
4. After that I have to meet with my group thats presenting tomorrow to put together power points and practice presenting. Joy.
5. After that its 6 annotated bibliographies that were due today for the class that I skipped because (a) the homework wasn't done (b) we already got an extension on it and (c) I had too much homework to do today so I skipped both my classes anyway.
6. Tomorrow I have to work 8-12, then run home to change and get to school for my presentation at 1.
HAPPINESS:
1. Once all this homework is done I can breathe again.
2. My 1 year review is up this week or next at JoAnns. Its only 10 cents raise or something, but better than nothing when you're hurtin for cash.
3. Homework coming up consists of attending campus events and writing reflection papers, and the two I am going to (one is a voices panel either on oppression, and the other is a speaker discussing queer issues at Woodside, which is the only state juvenile lock-down facility) are incredibly interesting. Especially the woodside one, since a lot of the Sandhill girls had spent time at Woodside, and I've heard quite a few stories about the place. (Sabrina, interested in coming up for that one on Friday? Its like 1 in the afternoon or something though....)
4. Teneka comes back up tomorrow night after pool league, and supposedly after my first class Thursday I can relax a little, clean my room and car, and spend tiem wtih my girlfriend!
5. I'm going to CT with Teneka, and having lunch with my mom before the drag show in a week and a half.
6. Teneka's sister's baby shower is 2 1/2 weeks away, and I can't wait to see the family again, especially her mom, who I absolutely love.
7. If my schedule pans out for next semester the way it should, I will ahve psycho tues/wed/thurs, but nothing mon/fri, which would absolutely kick ass.
As usual, the good outweighs the bad.
(Good lord I'm a geek... I hope someone else is geeky enough to get that)
