I needed to get away from everything for a bit, so I packed up the laptop and essential homework and drove to my grandmothers. This place feels like home... more than anything has since I was about 13. I was so relaxed when I got here that I got a good amount of homework done. I thought I might have left a pot pie in the freezer from this summer, and when i looked, I didn't find a pot pie, but I did find Ben & Jerrys... like 3 flavors!
Nanny came home and said she was going to bed. I asked if I could have some of her Ben & Jerrys and she started laughing and hugged me. I tried to explain that I was looking for my pot pie, but she said "Oh, Holly, its alright, you don't need to make excuses for snooping"
Bottom line, I got Ben & Jerrys.
My relaxation night is now complete. Time to drive home and call my girlfriend.
