psalm 147

yesterday a friend suggested i read psalm 147.
we were previously discussing the goodness of God and how it is displayed through creation.

after i read the chapter i thought back to one year ago when i was taking an exegetical course with bill risinger. at the time i found that i was only able to respond/relate to the psalms of lament (such as psalm 12 & 60). everything seemed to be going wrong. God felt distant. i found myself in disbelief at times. it was just a horrid time in my life.

over the course of this last year my spirit has really changed. it has been renewed. i have found strength, joy, peace. all these things...

psalm 147 was a great representation of exactly how my heart has felt for some time now.
and i am thankful.

also, while reading through this chapter, an idea for polaroids came into my mind.
it will be a work in process for a while.

here are a few for now...

He covers the sky with clouds;
he supplies the earth with rain
and makes grass grow on the hills...

the LORD delights in those who fear him,
who put their hope in his unfailing love
