so, bored on monday night stephanie and i decided to go to bed, bath and beyond and look around and then were planning on going to target in hopes that we would see someone that works there and talk to that person and see how a recent trip went. we got to the parking lot, saw that person's car was not there but decided to go in anyways. so we went

the girl that i've only known for 2 and a half months but suddenly feel a weird connection to now that she is gone.
yeah, I understand that totally. its wierd how a loss can make you care about someone more than you thought you could. For instance, I wasn't really good friends with Daniel Perez who died in the VT shooting stuff back in April, but I was quite sad for him, his family, and all the other victims. And I didn't really even know Daniel that well. I met him through friends on the swim team and such and we went to high school together and everything but yeah.. I'm rambling, as usual.
No, I don't think you're taking it too hard. Now, if this keeps up for more than a few days or maybe weeks, I mean you DID work with her and all, then I think maybe you're taking it too hard. But we do need this time to feel the loss of a coworker and friend. If she was significant enough for you to stop and talk to her in the target, then you cared for her as a friend, if you conciously knew it or not. thats how I see it. We're all so busy these days. and any contact we can keep, any time that we set aside in our lives to talk to someone that we know, that shows we care about them.
*hug* I'm sorry for your loss and Abby's friends and family and for your father's death 6 years ago. It can take someone a LOOOOONG time to grieve for a family member so very close to you.
however, isn't this car accident perfect proof that it's really impossible to say that?
yes, it is impossible to gaurantee that we won't just die in a car accident, walk out of our houses and get shot, etc. It happens every day and we can only hope that it won't happen to us. :(
