Addicting Bill to WoW will be slightly harder then planned
Okay Bill has never played a MMO.
Bill as never played a video game period.
The concept of 'controls' eludes his delicate brain.
I want him to play WoW conservatively, frankly because dating a non WoW player has cramped my style. He thinks I am nuts for playing, and a good chunk of my conversational ability is limited because when I say to Bill,
"I got my tier 8.5 helm today! It took 58 badges and 2 naxx's and it makes me look like darth vadar I guess I will be turning helms off again haha"
He looks at me like I am nuts. If I say those same words to anyone else in my life whom is not family they would reply with one of the following:
a) Haha your a noob i got that helm like 5 months ago I'm in all TOC gear now.
b) Yeah it is pretty fucking ugly.
c) Cool what are the stats?
d) Yeah but you are still alliance!
e) Does it have resil?
f) ok... can you run be through ragefire?
So yeah, I took him in game today, gave him the 62 warrior to play, figured warrior is pretty easy most of soloing uses all of 4 buttons. He spent 30 minutes in game, and still hasn't mastered the minimap at all, but i did teach him how to fly, how to move mostly he still screws it up but oh well, how to target... sorta, and how to talk... well he gets that right 1 out of every 4 tries...
This is going to be a long long road...
