So got the dell back, not ten seconds after turning it on, it crashes blue screens won't load windows. It appears some files in the loading process are damaged, this is so obnoxciously common with windows machines. And I do not have the windows xp cd on me, its at home. I sent bill to get it when he was at the house earlier but he failed to find it despite my extremely clear instructions to its location.
Its on the cardboard box on the floor in the living room, yup. So was the HD, he brought me the HD not the XP disk. This is good and bad. The hd has xp loaded on it, but this helps me in no way as there is no 'boot disk' creation via that. so now my problem remains. Windows will not boot. It needs a boot sector repair. I need windows recovery tool, so i found a cd rom iso for it on th enet that didnt work, so now we are on step 3, step 3 is download an illegal copy of windows iso to get the fucking recovery console. >.<
I don't WANT to use the hd that came with the pc its a pos 5200 rpm 250, mine is a 7200 rpm 350. 100 gigs MATTERS. but more importantly 2000 rpm matters. alot.
