[OKAY. Sunday. Finally. Keiichi tried to kill himself on Thursday, she went to the hospital on Friday, and then Saturday brought about him waking up. It's been a rough three days and she's decided that she's going to just enjoy Sunday as she always wants to: her Winry Day. Today, they could have gone to the springs, but frankly Haruhi is so tired that she doesn't want to bother with something like that.

So now around noon she's showing up to knock on Winry's door to pick her up... and take her back to her house. Movie day, it's nice and relaxing and just better]

[In the background the sound of Den barking can be heard. There's a 'hush!' from Winry as she opens the door. The girl smiles. It was just who she was hoping to see. In fact she didn't dress for hiking, hoping Haruhi would deem the weather still a little too cold to make the trip to the hot springs. Instead she wears a long sleeve t-shirt with a skirt. She actually woke up an hour before, so she's quite ready to be taken out of the house.]

Good morning. [Was it still morning? Maybe not.]

[You just love being swept off your feet, don't you gurl? But she's here and looking - well, better than she could be. But she nods is glad to see the other girl ready too]

Do you have anything you'd prefer to do today? [Winry walks out, and shuts the door behind her with a 'click.']

[So after this conversation, if it can be called that, Goku has set off on a search for Winry. Eventually there'll be a smiling, dripping wet kid at the smithy.]

Winry-neesan! You here?

[She'll hear him before she sees him, becuase she's in the back putting together a work bench to replace the one(s) Ayumu broke. She... recognizes that voice.]

Goku?

[Bingo! Finally found her! Goku moves a bit further into the smithy all smiling and still dripping wet.]

Winry-neesan! I've come to help you!

Help me? Why? [Confused the girl walks away from her work to Goku... who is soaked.]

And why are you all wet?

[ After the surgery-- with all misgivings of the situation set aside so that she could assist Winry properly; in the end the patient was still a patient-- and the patient is left to sleep on his own, it's probably a good time for the two women to have a break before telling the others. Raine at least, is pretty tired. ]

Mm... that was quite an experience, wasn't it?

[Winry, covered in splotches of blood from the surgery, heads toward a sink. Her apron may be a lost cause, but at least she can clean her hands and arms. She turns the faucet on and puts her bloody, gloved hands under the stream of water.]

Yeah it was, wasn't it? Not bad for my first time in two years huh?

Not at all. I'm certainly impressed. [Raine didn't get nearly as splotched as Winry, but being close to any situation like that would require a good washing, especially when assisting with the cleanup.]

[She smiles, but it's a little shaky. She's still a little disturbed from Legato's minimal reaction to the pain. She was used to screaming, adult men crying, and shouts loud enough to fill a room. Yet Legato had done none of those, and in all honesty it was... creepy.]

[After the draft announcement, Sokka doesn't bother leaving a message. He's just going to find her. Whether it's at home or work, whichever.]

[At home. He can probably see her in her room as he walks down the street. Winry's window faces the road, the curtains are open, and the light in her bedroom is on. At the moment she sits in her bed rereading the list of draftees just to make sure she hadn't imagined her or Haruhi's name on there.]

[A lot of people live there, so there's no point getting stopped at the door by Hughes or Ed, so he goes straight to her window to knock.]

[The knock gets Winry to perk her head up, and - Oh. Sokka. She should probably let him in. Winry points to the door as she crawls off her bed.]

[So it's... the next day. She knew they were going to do it yesterday and in all due honesty she really should have gone last night, but in spite of the bravado she was showing earlier, she really hasn't felt super-confident, so after a quick sweep of the yard where she found a random wall and saw someone through the window last night she didn't go in.

This morning, however, she's here bright and early-ish (10AM or so) and letting herself in with her key. She's got a basket under her arm with treat things which she'll set on the counter (a tacky consoling gift for the failing of the ... thing but whatever) and make her way towards Winry's room.

Of course, given the state of things, she's liable to be intercepted by someone. an interaction with Gracia or Hughes or something I shall assume or thread with later Someone who will no doubt inform her the basics of what actually happened and- well. That means the hospital it is. She doesn't bother to bring her little gift thing there, just makes her way there herself, dragging her feet

[Haruhi will find Winry sleeping in a chair by Ed's bedside. Her head rests on his chest. It's there so she could keep convincing herself that "yes, he's alive" while he continues to breath. Tissues litter the foot of the bed and the floor, but other than that the room is boring and peaceful.]

...How stupid.

[She says this to herself as she walks in the room. She takes note of the scene and just sighs. First things firsts, she'll collect the tissues off the floor and throw them out. That's probably not sanitary for a hospital anyway. She'll make no effort to wake Winry just yet though, and she hopes her tidying doesn't do it either]

[She stirs a bit, but doesn't wake. The position is a bit uncomfortable, so she's been moving from time-to-time.]
