[Backdated to about four in the afternoon, a girl is returned from her kidnapping. She is returned during the heavy snow, and on the rim of the fountain. As she begins to realize she's back her balance wavers, and she falls backward.]

A-AH! [After a short descent into the fountain she breaks through the layer of ice and into the frigid water.

[Alexei was heading for the smithy when he heard someone yell and the sound of splashing. Was someone seriously taking a swim in this frigid weather? Wait--that person is trying to get out of the fountain.

....

Well, now that he saw that, he suppose he could hold going to smithy to help her.

He rushes over and grabs Winry by the arms and starts pulling her out.]

[After a nice bit of effort from the two Winry is able to get out. However it's from the frying pan into the fire. As soon as the blonde is out of the fountain her (newly male) body collapses into the snow. She holds herself and shakes.]

C-cold. It's cold!

You should have been more careful then. [He kneels down, carefully pulling Winry's body up into a sitting position]

Can you move at all? I'll help get you inside.

[She hisses a bit of that, but she knows if she doesn't get warm and dry fast she'll get hypothermia.] A-A little bit. C-c-c-c-can you help me up?

[Was that a splash he just heard? Vash makes his way towards the fountain - could it be a new feather?] Ah-haha... you know, I had to find out the hard way too that winter isn't really time time to learn how to swim. [Peering in to be sure you're not drowning.]

[The boy clings to the side of the fountain like it's the only lifeline available. Winry shivers violently and manages to get this out while her teeth chatter:]

I-I alre-already know how to swim!

Oh well, you shouldn't be swimming in winter anyway! [He holds out a hand to help you up.]

V-Vash, I know.

[Winry takes that hand, but Vash better be ready to pull up most of the weight. The cold water is quickly chilling the blonde to the bone, and all she wants to do is curl up to conserve body heat.]

[...So Haruhi thought she saw a flash of yellow/gold out of the corner of her eye. Through vain hope she turns and- ...well someone just fell into the fountain. For the moment, she stares incredulously, a little scandalized because who would be dumb enough to fall into the fountain in this cold.

Actually let's add some context- she was here to look at the Smithy. Not... particular reason why, just to peek inside, hope no one was there, and duck out. If anyone asks it was scouting. She has planned to just go and camp out in her Brigade room therafter but, well.

Like I said, stare.]

[And then... a cold looking blonde boy lurks on out of fountain, blue and generally looking wet and cold. Haruhi Suzumiya, being a loving sort, despite after staring for some time and wondering what type of single-celled organism is dumb enough to fall- well you get the idea. The point is with a very overdone sigh she marches on over towards the fountain and the recovering teen]

[... Seriously? Someone was really dumb enough to get that close to the fountain in this weather? Tch. With a roll of his eyes, Zan'nen heads over to investigate. From the looks of it, it was a new face, so he supposed he couldn't blame him too much. Maybe his world didn't have fountains. Or water. Or cold.

Zan'nen grips the boy's arm, trying to pull him up to his feet.] ...Not exactly the warm welcome you were expecting, I take it.

D-d-d-d-don't get me started, Zan'nen. [Winry gladly accepts the help. It's cold and she wants out of the water.]

[Zan'nen's grip slips for a moment, nearly sending him sliding back into the fountain, and straight back into the icy water.

Luckily though, Zan'nen's quick enough to catch his arms again. This time however, his grip is a little too tight. That where his movement stops though, because a new paranoid edge slips into his thoughts. How the hell did this guy know his name? He knew he'd never seen his face before.]

Ah - Zan'nen you moron - It's me Winry! [And she tries to wriggle free. Your grip hurts!
