Six More Days!!!
Wow. We’re down to the wire for fundraising on this album and it’s gone AWESOME. I’m so excited!! I don’t know that I ever thought I’d be able to raise almost $700 to record my own album, but there ya go. Yay!
I’m humbled and amazed at the number of people who have been willing to believe in me for this project, and I’m excited to get it underway. I’ve mentioned some of the hangups that I have about pursuing music, and those hangups are still there, but I’m pushing forward with it. I heard someone say once that courage is not NOT being afraid of something, courage is going on in SPITE of that fear. So I’m excited to do this courageous thing.
I know that for a lot of musicians something like recording an independent album isn’t so scary, but for me something like this is my first big step to pursuing a dream of being a performer. Exactly how that’s going to look when it’s fleshed out I’m not sure, but I’m excited about it as it is, and I’m hopeful for what’s to come.
So in six days I’ll go shopping for a microphone (I can’t justify a guitar just yet, unless we have a really huge influx of pledges in the last six days), and I’ll keep you guys posted every step of the way. I have a layout of what everyone’s requested for rewards. Just to warn you, it’s going to be at least a couple of months after the kickstarter is over before I’m able to fulfill all of those rewards, but I WILL keep you posted as production gets underway.
