Couple things I found out last night.
Timothy Selck was born 1/25/1844 in Germany (Crysta you mentioned Holstein) which was part of Denmark and somewhere else for a bit. He died 9/30/1895 buried in Glencoe,WI cemetary.
His wife, Anna (I have her as a Seakamp) (Crysta you mentioned an Ehlers) was born in 1852 somewhere in Germany. Sounds like in 1857 she moved to Hart, MN. Would love to know the story of how they got to the middle of the country. She died in 1944, also buried in Glencoe, WI cemetary.
On the Sullivan side.
Thomas Henry Sullivan married Cora Louise Selck 12/29/1908. He was born 11/4/1879, unknown location. They were divorced shortly after Grandpa Tom was born in 1921. Died 2/15/1924 in St.Paul,MN and is buried in St. Mary's Cemetary, Winona,MN.
Cora Louise Selck was born 12/2/1879 in Arcadia, WI. She opened and ran her own dry goods store and grocery in Winona from 1921-1946. Died 9/24/1976 and is buried at Glencoe cemetary, WI.

Oopps, I reversed the numbers of Grandpa Tom's birth. He was born 1912.

I thought Cora, Anna and Timothy were all buried in Arcadia, or is that Glencoe? It'd be neat to go see Thomas Sr. grave. I am actually pretty interested in finding out more about him. Based on the one photo I have of him he seems like he had a good sense of humor

Glencoe Cemetary is just outside of Arcadia in township of Glencoe. I've never heard too much about Thomas Sr. From Nama or Grandpa, come to think of it I don't remember him ever talking about his dad.

This stuff is so much fun. My dad was really into genealogy when I was in college, and we discovered that my Drawing I professor was married to a woman who, if I remember correctly, shared a great-great-great grandparent. My aunt has traced my mom's side of the family way back, when her family goes skiing in Utah every January, she spends the week in the Mormon Library. She found out that we are distantly related to Astrid Lindgren, who wrote Pippi Longstocking, and Dag Hammarskjöld, the first Secretary General of the United Nations!
