The orange skies slowly turned dark blue as the sun etched down the horizon. Taiwan skipped joyfully to her Japanese friend’s house, a brilliant plan in her mind. She rang the door bell and waited for her friend to answer it. The door slowly creaked open. Japan was shocked to find his Asian buddy right at his doorsteps at dinner time.
“Haven’t you eaten?” he asked her politely, a smile finding its way onto his face. The brunette girl shook her head and asked him the same question, in which he replied that he was just about to give himself a treat to ramen. “Have you started cooking?” she pressed on and he struggled to find the suitable words to say.
“No- Not yet, so you’ll have to wait for a while before I can serve you the ramen. Come in and have a sit first, Taiwan-chan,” he assumed that his friend wanted to have dinner with him at his house, before turning back into the house.
“Wait.” She grabbed his hand with a grin and motioned for him to turn to face her. The timing of her visit was just great.
“Follow me, I’ll take you to an awesome place where we can have dinner, and it’s my treat!” she beamed, the gaze of her brown eyes into his coffee ones so intense that he couldn’t resist to reject her. After taking a few seconds to switch off all the lights and lock the door, the duo headed towards a newly-opened Taiwanese restaurant in the next neighbourhood. She held his hand firmly and guided him well whereas he found comfort and warmth as the younger girl led him down the avenue into the hectic streets.
