mounting frustration
so, in the middle of last month, i ordered me a holga, film for said holga, and a tray for mi darkroom. it was supposed to be here on september 21st. fedex lost it.
and now, guess what?! DHL LOST MY FREAKIN NEW LAPTOP BATTERY. i'm really starting to get cheesed. i freakin need a vacation. however, i may very well be on vacation when this battery comes, and it says i must be available to sign for it... urgh...
blue man group sunday. that's something to look forward to. and i made a freakin sweet trace monotype of weird al yesterday. pictures to come when i get home and scan it. it made me really happy. heidi had said we can't do portraits of the artist for our music-inspired monoprints, but i did one of al just to get a feel for trace (again. did it in independent study a bit) and when i was finished, i told her that i knew i couldn't do that for the project, but was just practicing, but she said it would be fine. woot. i just have to make a good one on good paper... the awesome one is on newsprint. i did another one on masa, but that didn't turn out as well.
well, i gotta go to class. later.
